Hilarious!
"The accelerated pace of financing of homes, cars and refrigerators which can be reasonably expected to significantly downsize in the 21st century."
That's a knee-slapper.
Very well done. It's all fun and games until someone loses an eye!

Re: iTulip Presents Alan Greenspan - April 1, 2007
This is a parody of the Greenspan lecture forumula: Open with self-deprecating remarks, extol the wonders of technology (about which we can say with authority as a technologists, he clearly understands very little), a nod to the host (in the case of the original, a lecture at Syracuse University in 1997, so he extols the virtues of education in the free market), followed by the obligatory plug for Adam Smith and free market capitalism, closing with the promise of continued growth in living standards of only businesses and Wall Street are allowed to operate without regulation or supervision. Always notable in a Greenspan speech is the complete absence of the words "debt," "credit," or "borrowing"–so we inserted one.Originally posted by grapejellyThank you -- I hadn't seen this talk before. Learned a lot.
If you missed last year's April Fool's at iTulip.Ed.
