Yes, in a nutshell..........i don't want to get into the rights or wrongs....the fact is the British SCUM have to face up to the fact they are broke. I simply can't tell you how pissed off i get when i show a Brit a chart of FALLING Northsea Oil/Gas production.then show them a chart of rocketting borrowing....
Anyone withmore then 3 brain cells could see that income from Northsea production was replaced with borrowing!
...........but not typical limey!

One of my engineer friends grew up in the UK. He often said that the north sea oil was the only thing keeping the country afloat economically. He seemed to think the oil income had displaced manufacturing and other types of productive work.Originally posted by Mega View Post

Agreed............the problem is that Northsea oil/Gas was used to paper over problems, now its time to pay the piper!
