If I was looking to invest in a current and soon to be former communist country I'd be looking hard at Cuba.
Better climate, close proximity to the world's largest market, tourism potential is still huge, good bang for the buck healthcare system, well educated population, could be some decent energy exploration possibilities, they've already suffered through their economic Depression when the Soviet Union nanny state supporting CUba collapsed.
I reckon Cuba might be a decent post FIRE investment opportunity once political change and market reform occurs post Castro family.
North Korea?
Other than millions of PTSD suffering low wage factory workers that China and South Korea can fight over and a trillion dollar bill to bring the nation up to a 1960's standard I don't see the appeal.Comment
