Absolute BS.....

The US maintains a permanent presence of over 700 pers in the Sinai As part of MFO as agreed at Camp David Accords...so the first part is just a rotation of assets in/out of the MFO AO.

The rest of the assets like the Kearsarge moving into closer proximity with Egypt is textbook for forward staging to assist with evacuation if a NEO(noncombatant evacuation order) is issued.

NEOs have been performed somewhere around a dozen times in the last 20 years by the US....usually in failed states like Liberia and Somalia.

Precautionary measure.......but one that would normally be expected from a 3rd world toilet.....not from a regional cornerstone ally.......

The idea of the USA invading Egypt is completely laughable.....but the idea of the USA issuing a NEO would be more realistic if the crisis escalated as well as incredibly serious and incredibly embarrassing to both Egypt and the US......
