As many of you know Max Kesier the well known Financial Punk has been running a "Crash J P Morgan, buy silver" program. The upshot of Max's campain is if enough people go out & simply buy & hold Silver J P Morgan will crash & burn.

I like Max very much, although i was not very thrilled when he stabbed Peter Schiff in the back during that deflationly dollar panic that crashed the market a few years ago. I wasn't too please to not only see him slag off Peter, but in a real twist of the knife he "got into bed" with Mish who was at War with Peter at the time.

Anyway, last week Jim Puplava had enough, he called Max's plan (without naming it) Bollocks & that was that...........or so he thought.

Max, never one to admit he wrong (am still awaiting the promised collaspe of the British £) went Ape! He screamed that "JP" couldn't read a balance sheet !

Well, its round 2 it would seem, JP on Financial sense with:-
Nick Barisheff
Dave Morgan
Jeff Christian
Don Coxe

They totally "Dissed" & pointed out that J P Morgan is in effect the US goverment & thus a bottomless pit of money......they not going to be taken down by a few financial "Red Necks".

Now i like silver, i hold 1200 oz & expect to buy more.....its a good investement in a zero or negative rate World.....but its not a Financial "RPG".

Taking Max too seriously is a mistake. Keiser, a former stand-up comedian as well as a Wall Street trader, is good at rallying the troops against whatever he thinks as malfeasance. Not guiding one's portfolio. He is essentially an online muckraker, of which we could use a few more. Stir the pot, raise hell, in an entertaining way. I find his guests the part worth listening to on a regular basis.

I Like Max, i MEAN that...........look at the effort & time he puts in, he made God knows how much money & he could just sit at home enjoying his wealth. For me i find people like him of great intrest, trying to understand what makes him tick.....why he is so focused of trying to bring down the NWO............may be he try to cut a record next...;)

I found the link here. It is called Silver Roundtable on that page. I really liked the fact that he had a round-table with 4 professionals (kudos for being able to, and getting them together), and asking mostly open-ended questions concerning:

- Fundamentals of silver
- Crash JP Morgan campaign
- Comex silver default
- Silver shortage (100oz bar rumour in particular again) What would trigger a shortage?
- How to be a good silver investor
- Fundamentals driving your silver investment
I feel now I am better informed, and have a couple more investment/option strategies to consider.

But the mystery of the big silver short position(s) remains. Why was that left off the agenda? Because it is irrelevant? I don't think so.

Interesting piece. My husband and I had been picking up some junk silver for $18-20 for peace and Morgans at local auctions. My father-in-law went to one today and the lowest a peace sold for was $24 and he said a lot were closer to $35 for commons. There was a lot of interest in them. Going to have to see another auction or two to see if demand in this area has gone up recently or if it was just a fluke.

There is a lot of intrest in Silver right now, but i think it will cool a bit...........as i say i got 1200 Oz & will get more.....but i think Max's plan is isane. However, in time 1.3 BILLION In China & 1.1 BILLION in India will want Gold/Silver......yes they very poor right now....but that is changing.

I have found small quantities of Morgans and Peace dollars at flea markets too. My last buy was for $23. This was when Silver was around $28. This is close to the spot price of silver. I have yet to beat the bushes this month. I'm reaching 5% of my portfolio in silver, and that is right around where I want to be. I will only by more if I can get it under spot. Which does sometimes happen. Some dealers will deal. The $35.00 is for the sucker buyers.

In my experience flea markets, fairs, antique stores etc have sticky prices for PMs. You can buy things for several weeks below spot if there is a big run up in the underlying metal. If prices pull back it usually takes several weeks for the dealers to lower
there prices. That is one of the reasons I have not looked for a few weeks. Most stuff is now priced far over spot.

We have a place that will give us morgans and peace dollars for $20.50 and silver quarters for $4.50. I'm not sure how long that price will hold up where Apmex is paying more for culls and the coins we have been getting are decent. Actually found a 1950 S over D quarter in the bunch. When silver was $30 and Max Keiser's campaign was in full swing, we were easily able to get junk silver way below spot at multiple places. We're down to mainly one place and I'm not sure how long that will last.
