When it was widely announced in Western media a week or so ago that the Iranians were about to fire up the reactor and that this presented a narrow window to attack with out risking fallout over a vast area, then I became convinced we would see no such military action anytime soon. We are being setup for a world with a nuclear Iran. Thus it shall be.

When Israel does attack nuclear reactors, you learn about the nuclear reactor after the attack, not before.

Roughneck is confusing who the "we" are. The "we" that got us into Iraq have profited immensely. The American people "we"... well, we have been treated better than most slaves in history.

But, any contract that is priced in $US dollars is still a "win" for pax americana, no?

Since I despise religion in all forms, I am no fan of Isreal to-day, especially with its new religious agenda. I had thought that Isreal would evolve as a land of immigrants, a refuge, just like America and Canada have. But I was wrong..

With the falling American empire, unless Israel can make peace with the moslem states somehow, I'm not optimistic that Israel will be in the same form as today 20 to 30 years from now.

Chindia has no interest in whether Israel remains as an independent state or the existence of the temples, churches or mosques in Jerusalem.

We'll be going back in time to the Medieval age where China and India, superpowers at that time, trade with the Arabs and Persians while the impoverished Europeans slog to defend Jerusalem.
