The link is A test calibrated to fix the result.

(Even copying and pasting the link in the first post won't work, as what's visually displayed is also truncated.)
Most folks are good; a few aren't.

How about putting quotes around the link, perhaps that'll keep it from breaking (just copy and paste without quotes)?

This is just like reading about the guys who created the Global Warming Hockey stick model. The great thing about science now, is that superfast computers and complex algorithms can be used to break the dependency between outputs and inputs. Hence, results are whatever you want them to be. And if you've got a big enough bull horn, you can convince the world that your results are correct and everybody who discounts the results are "deniers".

Welcome to the world of Information warfare gone wild.

Now, extrapolate this dilemma onto society, where each member of the public becomes a data profile in a cloud of open data across a global network. The entire world of people become cells in a grand system ripe for manipulation via vastly sophisticated algorithms that provide feedback to sensors and data delivery that we all rely on.

So, now we're not just talking about gaming a banks reporting system, we're talking about gaming society... with this capability available to all with the sophistication to understand it and the resources to execute it. Thanks John Nash, I never thought your mind was all that beautiful. I guess you gotta be a psychopath to see that kinda beauty.
