Blighty in BIG trouble!

On Weds of this week we were due for our GDP figs to be published, then suddenly the Gov-er-ment 24 hours before said that.....er....they found a "problem" with how the figs were cal-u-late-ed......in fact GDP figs that had been published in the past might have to be "looked at" again.....should take 2 weeks to set the books stright...

Yep, the time to pay the piper is here.
Keeps me wondering whether the time has come also for different (read non-democratic) sort of governments.
For a government to dampen economic up- and down swings it has to work anti-cyclical. Nowadays government policies strengthen these swings mainly for re-election reasons.
Afraid what the future may bring.
