  • Hilarious Propaganda from Forbes

I'm an ardent conservative living in New York City - the capital of neoconservativism and the FIRE economy. I spend a fair amount of time socializing with these rather repulsive characters, simply to understand how they think. Most are, in my opinion, truly insane.

Bu I digress, here is an opinion piece published by one of the more ridiculous "true believers":

    http://www.forbes.com/2010/04/19/sec...-joshpe_2.html

Choice quote: "Even with talk of financial reform coming from the halls of Congress, the government knows that America and an economic turnaround depend on Goldman."

Perhaps iTulip should start a comedy section, where we can all start posting the most ridiculous FIRE propaganda!

Serge, this is a great start!

Here's a contribution. Last Xmas I was making small talk with a M-S portfolio "manager" while watching a football game. I mentioned the concussion issue and how it was getting increasingly larger play. I chose this topic because I thought we might have common ground- I'm involved, as a historian, in boxing, which has always had a concussion problem. He's an avid fantasy league player, for $$$.

Yes, his response caught me by surprise. He erupted in a rant against any "top down" regulation- of anything that could affect his 'game'. Multiple-same-game concussions...let 'em play! He's one of my guys.
