I will just give you the funny part

Egemen Bagis, Turkey’s chief negotiator with the European Union, has criticized Germany, along with France, for seeking to sell military equipment to Greece while pressing the government in Athens to make drastic public spending cuts as a result of its dire financial crisis.

So we want you to cut pensions, salaries, infra-structure and sell us your islands BTW -I have a real good deal on some weapons for you -at a great interest rate. Can you really make this stuff up?!

    Greece is not Israel

The submarines are the most expensive weapon platforms in Israel's arsenal.
Since the end of the Second World War and the mass murder of Jews under the Nazi regime, Germany has made it its historic obligation to help Israel.
The first two U212s were donated by Berlin to the government of Israel after the 1991 Gulf War.
It split the cost of the third with the Jewish state, offering it at an almost symbolic price, local media reported.
"The German government decided to deliver Israel … the five vessels and allow its experts to manipulate them in order to provide Tel Aviv with hardware needed to evacuate its entire nuclear weaponry arsenal on an appropriate fleet, while allowing it to be employed in warfare," the Arab monitor reported.
It said the delivery was in violation of German law forbidding the export of military equipment or weapons of non-NATO countries engaged in warfare.

Germany now world's No. 3 arms exporter

    ...

Germany's global market share jumped to 11 percent during the 2005-09 period, up from 6 percent at the start of the millennium, data released this week by the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute indicate.
That means Germany shot to become the world's third-biggest weapons exporter, passing by the once-thought-untouchable military industry powerhouses France and Britain, which came in at rank Nos. 4 and 5, respectively.
The United States and Russia are still the biggest arms exporters, with more than half of all sales shared between them. U.S. companies from 2005-09 sold arms to 70 countries -- more than any other nation.
In Europe, the dynamics seem to be shifting. While France increased its sales by around 30 percent, British arms exports dropped 13 percent.
