Sure, that means MORE COMPETITION and a FREE MARKET!

      (I mean it too.)

I don't oppose the MAN, just the terribly flawed policies.
Those Change, He has all my support and then some!
Why not oppose the man? He's an unreconstructed Marxist with known associates at the fringes of american radical and terrorist society.

Anybody who voted for him and is at all surprised at the consequences deserves a checkup from the neck up.

Do you think McCain could have bought Goldman's gang a full year's mass distraction and/or hope?

          I don't.

May I remind you that the South, the heartland, killed healthcare reform in the U.S. Senate? Killing change, any change at all, is what the South does in the Congress. And if you don't understand this fact of life, you don't understand even the basics of American politics.

When the Senate finished with Obama's health reform bill, there was nothing left to save in the bill; everything was diluted and deleted away to nothing.

So the Congress is a giant do-nothing machine that runs on grease from lobbyists. The grease pays for re-election of members of Congress favourable to the interests of lobbyists.... Nothing changes, and nothing can ever change, so long as the South has a lock on the Senate.

                    More fun facts:

top 3 comments at the San Francisco Chronicle...my what a difference a year makes. In particular check the up vs. down thumbs ratio: All 3 posts slamming either Obama, or the Dem-Congress, or both with others chiming in to a 31 vs. 2, 27 vs 3, and 22 vs 0 ratio. Ouch.

                    Time for Newt II?

"For the most part, Obama has delivered on his promises"

Really? Like the promise to open up the negotiations to the public.

What the public is truly disgusted with is the special favors for the elite. For example, making Giethner (who gave Goldman $13 billion of taxpayer money) his Treasury Secretary.

The whole country, including Massachusetts is revolting against the reduction of freedom. Taking our health freedom is just the most reprehensible of what they are trying to do to us.

The Democrats hide who they are and lie about their goals. For the first time, they thought they had an absolute majority across the board to implement their Statist policies.

On the personal level, the arrogance, incompetence, and SF/Chicago machine style politics didn't play well either.

Rest assured the Dems will ignore this message and plow onward to disaster in Nov.

And when are the Democrats actually going to listen to the American people and do something for Main Street instead of Wall Street? When are they going to acknowledge the cry for "jobs, jobs, jobs?"

This year you will see a lot of hard hitting reform legislation, and it will fail along party lines. Jobs will be issue number one in 2010, and Republican filibusters will be issue number 2. If this strategy works, there will be a major change in the senate rules with the start of the next congress (2011).

Also look for a major house cleaning at the white house. Summers/Geithner and maybe Emanual. If Obama replaces banksters with banksters, the Dems will lose both house and Senate in the fall.

Last year was the 9th year of the Clinton administration, this year will be the 1st year of the Obama administration.

By "A lot of hard hitting reform legislation" I meant in real terms, not nominal terms. Adjusted for inflation the legislation has been hard hitting, but in nominal terms, it's kind of like nasty slapping. Actually both Health Care and now Financial regulation legislation is going to pass which are really big changes.

                            House cleaning? How about this?!
Nat'l Intel Director Dennis Blair Resigns
AH HA! Well, Ok, it's not exactly what I had in mind.

So the house still needs a bit more cleaning:

So maybe it's looking like it's the 10th year of the Clinton Administration.

But wait til next year! Both the Cubs and Obama in 2011!
