In my red/blue voting days I used to choose between what I thought was the "lesser of two evils" until I realized that I was still voting for evil, so to speak, and that constituted a negative sum game.

When the Senate finished with Obama's health reform bill, there was nothing left to save in the bill; everything was diluted and deleted away to nothing.

Watch the state of the Union address. This will be the turning point. He foolishly tried to work with Republicans to reach compromises on important reform legislation, but they have put the failure of this presidency above the success of our country.

This year you will see a lot of hard hitting reform legislation, and it will fail along party lines. Jobs will be issue number one in 2010, and Republican filibusters will be issue number 2. If this strategy works, there will be a major change in the senate rules with the start of the next congress (2011).



Also look for a major house cleaning at the white house. Summers/Geithner and maybe Emanual. If Obama replaces banksters with banksters, the Dems will lose both house and Senate in the fall.

Last year was the 9th year of the Clinton administration, this year will be the 1st year of the Obama administration.

By "A lot of hard hitting reform legislation" I meant in real terms, not nominal terms. Adjusted for inflation the legislation has been hard hitting, but in nominal terms, it's kind of like nasty slapping. Actually both Health Care and now Financial regulation legislation is going to pass which are really big changes.
