Re: Morgan Stanley...The British are F*cked!
British Ka-Poom ? If the fishermen-financiers of Iceland were able to abandon krona and beg the euro for rescue, why won't the brits abandon the pound too? They would have nothing to lose. Grobalization makes national currencies obsolete, anyway, as Mr Steil explains.Originally posted by Mega View Post
(that part with the gold uber currency based on shares of actual gold bars and controlled by private banks 'without the need for govenrment support' is sweet :rolleyes
Mega, how much do you think a cheap british wife would cost by April of 2010? One without crooked teeth preferably
Actually this is a good business opportunity. An agency for british mail order brides. Just make a joint venture with a good dentist and a suntan salon and you are in bussiness.

When Britain joins the Eurozone, it will be time to short the Euro.Originally posted by $#* View PostBritish Ka-Poom ? Thanks Master Shake. Good to see you are still here. I'll be off again until march or april, I may drop here from time to time.(hopefully at X-mas).Originally posted by Master Shake View PostGood to see you back posting.
That is a very good point, at least for short term. It depends though how much support is the Fed going to extend to the euro. A sharp devaluation of the euro with respect to the coalition of the zirping, may not be pleasant to the FED. I believe they would try to avoid too many imbalances between USD and the euro (put here the rest of the minor contributors such as CND, SEK), in a joint competitive devaluation so a big dive of the euro with respect to the dollar may not happen.Originally posted by hayekvindicated View PostWhen Britain joins the Eurozone, it will be time to short the Euro.
The japanese yen may be an interesting (but dangerous) game to play. I, personally, wouldn't go for it. I'll just sit and watch this one.
