    Excellent piece by unorthodox Larry Flint. Enjoyed every bit of film made on him.

      It's a good piece of writing by Flynt. Unfortunately, due to the nature of how this man has made his living, the ad hominem dismissal of him (in the U.S.) will probably far outweigh his message. I don't know how the rest of the world views him, but here in the U.S. he is viewed as a low character by the majority, I believe- especially Christians, the strongly conservative, and 'women's causes' people. I'm not sure whether even "abolish the Fed" Ron Paul would want to be identified with him.

        I think Ron Paul has no problems with legalizing prostitution, I believe.

        Legalize Drugs and Prostitution?

        In the interview, we discussed prostitution, drug use and gay marriage. Paul says these are not things that the federal government should try to control.

        "I think the government's role should not be involved in personal habits. When you defend freedom, you defend freedom of choice, and you can't be picking and choosing how people use those freedoms . . .whether it's personal behavior or economic behavior, I want people to have freedom of choice," Paul asserted.

        He believes the constitution says such issues should be left to the states to decide, and if a state chooses to legalize marijuana, cocaine, heroin and/or prostitution, so be it.

        Compared to Playboy and Penthouse, which has this support the troops sticker on, Hustler had lots of interesting articles on vote fraud in the US, 911 and anti-war stuff. At least that is my view, criticism has been left to the internet and magazines like Hustler or Rolling Stone ( Goldman Sachs ) it seems.

          That's ok in my book. In todays political climate, if one does not inspire ad hominem attacks against oneself, that means you are not even being heard.

          It's ok that people of different "cultures" come to the same conclusions. Different spokesman will speak to different audiences.

          The only place that Larry Flynt lost me in this piece was at the end, when he focused on campaign finance reform and lobbying restrictions.

          By my figuring, the corruption is sufficiently deep by now that such reforms would be but cosmetic speed bumps to the mega-corporations and the super-rich who have taken over our government.
          Most folks are good; a few aren't.

            Thanks, Mega;

            this is one of the real powers of iTulip: people bringing in so many good links, and their own personal stories.

            I could never find these things without iTulip.
