  • Gerald Celente Predicts Revolution 2012

Gerald Celente, the CEO of Trends Research Institute, is renowned for his accuracy in predicting future world and economic events, which will send a chill down your spine considering what he told Fox News this week.

Celente says that by 2012 America will become an undeveloped nation, that there will be a revolution marked by food riots, squatter rebellions, tax revolts and job marches, and that holidays will be more about obtaining food, not gifts.

he's a good due. his prediction that the fed needs to raise rates to protect the dollar is off. ej said a similar thing aug 2007 at the hard assets conference. neither one of them expected this global crush to sell crap for tbills. how long will it last?

Some of you guys might enjoy this analysis as well. If you aren't familiar with Martin Armstrong, google him. Basically, he came up with a system that was accurate enough to garner a visit from the CIA. When he didn't cooperate fully (he apparently offered to run info but not convey to them his system), they had him locked up without trial for 7 years until he plead guilty to a lesser charge. He wrote this from jail recently where he is serving a 5 yr sentence. That's his story at any rate.

I found it interesting so thought maybe some of you guys might like it as well. Warning! PDF file.

            from the trenches:

"Normally business is slow at the shooting gallery during the week and it's busy only on weekends and evenings.

            Not anymore.

They're lined up waiting at noon when it opens and it's packed until closing time. Most people are working on their concealed weapons permit and the instructor is present. I conclude that people have taken a sudden personal interest in self defence. You can connect the dots as well as I can. Most of the shooters appear to be middle and upperclass types some are wearing suits and ties. My investment counselor invited me to take her to the range so she could try out her new titanium Taurus. She discovered personally Newtons law of action and reaction and wants to buy a heavier pistol that won't recoil as much. I tried to explain to her that small light pistols are for concealed carry not shooting. Heavy pistols gets heavier if you carry them around all day. Unfortunately she couldn't hit anything with it, literally missing the target at eight feet. She needs a better pistol and a larger target but most of all she needs more training. I told her not to fire until she was at point blank range (3-4ft.). These people are scared, they know instinctively what's coming, they can smell it. Anyone who handles money even doctors and pharmacists."

from an email from a local guy.

Metalman, what's with "he's a good due"? Is that a generational thang.

Re: Gerald Celente Predicts Revolution 2012

My 70+ aunt was in town this week from Retirementville, FL, and she confided in me that things are getting nuts down there, everyone's going out buying guns. Her late-70s neighbor bought a gun for his wife and sent her to the range so she could protect herself when he's gone, and it's all the snowbirds are talking about.

My aunt said she's thinking about it, but she's afraid she might have an accident. Her husband replied, totally deadpan, "I think it's a good idea."

I'm still laughing thinking about it.

EDIT: In no way did I betray any feelings regarding the current economic climate or any of my own tinfoil inspired theories to provoke or ask about it. She just came out with it.

There are going to be crazy news stories when this is all over.

What is wrong with the US that people start fighting each other instead of the government?
It's Economics vs Thermodynamics. Thermodynamics wins.

This movie has 10 minutes left, and it's too late to get a box-office refund for your yellow ticket stub.

I was about to ask you if you are American, but then I read your location "London". So allow me to explain. We American's as are extremely ignorant. Someone on itulip likened the citizenry to the movie idiocracy. I must admit that sums up a vast majority of Americans. itulip is NOT representative of the average joe here. For example, if you ask people what is going on right now as far as economics, many will tell you its a normal business cycle, or that its not that serious. Others will tell you its because Clinton tried to introduce socialism and we are now seeing the affects of that. Those are just some of the absurd things I have heard over the last year.

My point is, people are clueless about how economics work, political systems etc. Couple that with a inherently individualistic society and you will get people blaming everything from "the white man, the black man, Muslim jihadist, those Latinos etc". Our govt. has done a great job of deflecting blame and and keeping people in a mental state of unadulterated ignorance. Before Obama won, I had a conversation with these women at my job. they all sung the praise of Obama and said how Bush created all this mess. I told them nope, he didn't. He darn sure didn't help but the root of this isn't with Bush. I explained how it was a long chain of bad decisions, and that the problem was systemic. I also said, WE the people are partly to blame for our over indulgence in debt. I then told them what I felt about the housing mess (if people can't afford the homes then they should lose them). One girl then goes on to tell me that's not the fault of the people. Because in her mind, if someone tells a person they can have a home that is 500,000 dollars and they only make 30,000. Of course they would buy it, its the American dream. That's when it dawned on me, people are clueless.

So in such a misguided mental state, I don't think we the American people have the capacity (at this time) to properly connect the dots. You have tons of people still walking around thinking gas was a bubble. What happens when inflation kicks in and it goes up? Oh I know, lets blame the Arabs. *sigh*
