The Prime Minster is MIA & will remain so, he is hopeful of keeping his job.......the health minster is "Dead man walking".

Let me assure you, like General Westmoreland in "Nam" they will be looking for the biggest body count they can find.

I wonder how many with Cancer (late treatment)/depression will die, how many husband will kill their wife over silly rows?....how many will turn to drugs/drink?

What's the best way to predict the future?

Anybody curious about his stock trades for February and early March?

Perhaps prior performance prevents piss poor planning?

              https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_o...s#21st_century

Averaging 3 epidemics per year for the 21st century(63 to date), there was about a 100% chance of what he said being true.

But don’t let that stop a good social media story.

Some good friends have been clamouring for Bill Gates’ scalp too.

Claiming his foundation’s willingness to burn the cash needed for 7 concurrent manufacturing lines to hopefully produce one vaccine is all a scam.

They also accused Gates of dirty deals but unable to unearth anything, let alone even try to look for it(neither Gates Foundation nor Bill/Melinda possess pharm holdings).

When presented with Gates Foundation and Bill & Melinda Gates’ holding that show no relationship with any pharm outfits, they refused to believe Bill Gates may be just an ego driven ultra competitor driven to be remembered as Saint Bill to match or surpass demigod Jesus Jobs who he bailed out(not altruistically) 20 years ago.

It’s easier to just portray Gates as a Bond villain. It’s not the 90’s anymore.

              ——-

As far as Fauci goes, I assume he has to complete the same personal financial statement and fulfil the same conditions and restrictions as other senior non elected public servants.

I know 2 people personally who have reached roughly equal levels in the US. It’s pretty comprehensive and invasive. The statements are available.

Rather then making unsubstantiated allegations, just request a copy of Fauci’s 278E disclosure form.

I made no allegations or mentioned Gates, just asked a question.

And that's all very comforting, thanks. Ain't it grand? We're such bright little monkeys that we've designed a system where all we need to stop corruption are a couple of forms. Happy that you learned so much during your brief time in the Valley.

Such trusting souls! The normalcy bias is really quite charming and heartwarming. But all this whistling past the graveyard must make a man's lips so very dry. Fortunately there's plenty a billionaire around to suck up. Good thing for us, they and the government run on their behalf have an unbroken history of open dealing, truth-telling, and an abiding concern for the masses that we can all rest easy knowing they have our backs.

You asked a question that is easily answerable.

Of course corruption exists in the West, often in less direct and more offset ways such as post career consulting gigs and fully funded university chairs.

Likely in far greater supply that most realise.

And what seems to be in steep decline is trust.

Which means that many well meaning folks doing their best get thrown out with all the dirty bath water.

You’d have to specify which time in the valley, there’s been more than a few.

You're too modest, sir. Whenever there's a nail, we can count on you to swing the hammer. And why The Big Valley, of course.

Your making assumptions and jumping to conclusions is being raised to an art form.

Anyone who believes we will be returning to November 1st, 2019 normal is mistaken and I would be genuinely concerned about their mental health.

Assuming pure altruism in billionaires(and those in power) is silly, but assuming malignancy is equally so. That’s naïveté and societal cancer, respectively.

I’m reminded of Peter Arnett’s Frankenstein-like patchwork quote & source “We had to destroy the village in order to save the village.”

                          https://www.bloomberg.com/opinion/ar...der-to-save-it

Not exactly journalism’s brightest moment, but it was insanely effective for the anti-war movement, and has resonated and echoed for over 50 years.

So in a period of fragile and hollow economic mediocrity we are faced with the prospect of:

”We had to destroy the economy in order to save the economy.”

I once learned enough about horses and livestock to be dangerous to myself and others, but have always been more of a motorcycle guy.

Oh you can do better than that. Keep it simple. Just say "shut up, conspiracy theorist!"
