    simplisafe is a traditional home security system which works only in the USA, not the same as arlo which is more similar to Amazon Ring. Arlo is interesting, just that I don't understand why their cost of goods is so high. Doesn't make sense unless Arlo needs to pay royalties to Netgear.

    If you look at Xiami, their cameras are around the $100 range, not to mention unknown wifi netcams that you can buy from alibaba.com for $20 a piece.
