Rebbe - spot on. Hurricanes also drive up the price of oil. Plus, if we have yet another warm winter, there will be less demand for heating oil (thank you global warming!). In either case the northern hemisphere (where the majority of cars in the world are) does not drive as much in the winter as they do in summer/fall.

I bought my oil stock this past january. Currently up 37%. If we get another warm winter, I'll look to diversify into more oil-based holdings this january, especially if we have a 100 year event stock drop.
