I've been living in the country for over a year now, and I strongly get the impression that 'laws' are considered 'government advice', something most people turn their nose up for.

Just because something has been put into law doesn't mean they'll be able to enforce it. take the example of marijuana. Often I find myself explaining to French youngsters that in practice there's not that much difference between France and the Netherlands considering the smoking of pot. The main difference is that in the Netherlands you can buy it in shops which are tolerated to sell small quantities. In both countries I seen plenty of people in the streets openly smoking it.

Granted...although I don't mind anyone going after sex traffickers. I suppose that people are just going to have to bring 'gifts' when they visit their friends...which means they are going to have to go to a little trouble to meet for drinks...almost like a real date. Then it's social, not an occupation, but it will raise the price.
