  • Inflation? PPI CPI up?

Do we really have inflation going on though?

Couldn't we rationally argue that clothing, airline tickets and prescription drugs are really to volatile to include in the core package anyway?

    ;)

    Re: Inflation? PPI CPI up?

No matter how many trillions of paper dollars Bernanke prints, there can not be inflation with falling wages and the rising productivity of labour. Also banks are reluctant to lend.

The gold bugs may be in dreamland with their gold.

Unemployment and people who are thrown-away to rot and to starve for life (like me) certainly breed inflation, and conditions in Mexico in the 1970s certainly prove that point.

But falling wages and rising productivity are a better argument for de-flation than for hyper-inflation ahead.

So if working people and pensioners and savers have been thrown under the bus to fight inflation, the Obama Administration is even worse than the Bush Administration of years past.

Steve, when are you going to get that they are two sides of the same coin?
