  • The Elusive Bottom, Rosenbery, Merrill Lynch, 8/14/2008

Below is a link to an article I mentioned and quoted in part in the Bearish Thread.

It is one of the most germaine articles I have read in a while. To me it was written in terms that generally are easily understood, .i.e. not a lot of financial esotericism. It is moderately long, but I believe will be worth most individual's time.

The Elusive Bottom: Conference Call Notes
    14 August 2008

    • We aren't past the halfway point of this recession
    • 300-point rallies in the Dow happen in bear markets
    • How can there be recession with GDP still positive?
    • You'll miss a lot of action waiting for GDP to go negative
    • We should actually be welcoming the recession call
    • and a lot more interesting points
