Hydrogen is very hard to handle, unless they change the Natural Gas network for Hydrogen then its an very long roll out.

i keep thinking that bev's are not the right solution, but that hydrogen might be. i hope the ifam project works out. i assume the weight of such a system would be much less than lithium batteries. also something like that might provide energy storage for wind and solar

Mike, I found some news about hydrogen vehicle fuels.

The Fraunhofer Institute for Manufacturing Technology and Advanced Materials IFAM in Dresden has developed a magnesium paste that can carry hydrogen as a fuel.
It has a great energy density and is safe to handle at room temp and standard atmospheric pressure.
When it's heated above 250 C in the presence of water it liberates hydrogen gas, very convenient for a fuel cell.

    Here's a link https://www.fraunhofer.de/en/press/r...-scooters.html

If it proves practical and economical it would sweep away all the problems of trying to use high pressure hydrogen gas for vehicles.

    Very promising.
