  • Britian going to the Polls

    http://www.msn.com/en-gb/news/brexit...RQm?ocid=ientp

    Update
Yesterday, very quietly the government dropped the requirement to stop free travel after 31st oct........the VERY thing everyone voted for!

We wish to take back control of our borders, have the right to stop MASSES of overseas crimo types coming to our nation & the right to eject Crimo out of our nation. If they are "European" then they have a shed full of rights that in the old days they didn't have.

Even with this MASSIVE concession, the Remainers are refusing to play ball.

Boris is trying to give the impression he is a Brexit guy, he is not......like May he trying to deliver a Non Brexit Brexit ......it won't wash.

Not too sure what happens now, he call an snap eletion, hopes that the Brexit party will not stand against MP's.........

    WE must retake our freedoms

Re: Britian going to the Polls

BoJo has the upper hand now. The tone deaf Remainers in the Conservative Party are at risk of purging themselves. If they are foolish enough to precipitate an election it will be the London elites against the rest of the country, and a BoJo-Farage combination common-man campaign will take it.

The first thing BoJo will do is terminate the services of that idiot Speaker.

i thought bojo was trying to avoid a deal with farage, pushing farage aside by making HIS [bojo's] conservative party THE brexit party.

That made perfect sense during the tussle to replace the forgettable PM May.
But that is done now. And it worked (see attachment).

Farage's Brexit Party is a single issue political entity. If the UK parliament precipitates an election, out of necessity Farage and BoJo will unite in a common purpose (the alternative is candidate vote splits in the ridings and a Corbyn government). Finally, if and when Brexit is achieved, Farage needs the Conservative Party as the Brexit Party & Farage himself will see their work as having been done. Someone needs to govern the country...

I see in Dr. Philip Lee we may have the first example in history of a rat jumping onto a sinking ship.

Sorry to lower the tone, but

Used to be we went to the polls and once the election or referendum was over we moved on as a community or nation and made the best of the collective decision.

Now everybody has the right to keep questioning everything all the time, forever. It reminds one of the stories of stalemated trench warfare during WWI (which pretty well lines up with what has happened in Britain since the Brexit referendum, absent the poison gas of course). Unless one side can figure out a way to permanently muzzle and shut off the debate from the other side. If it's the right that does that they are deemed fascists. If it's the left they are deemed progressives.

Part of the the reason I think we western "democracies" are rapidly becoming ungovernable.

All credit for breaking that long-honored historical precedent goes to Al Gore for conceding the election to Bush in 2000, only to withdraw his concession on the faint hope that his cronies in Broward County would gin up enough votes to drag him over the line.

And it was Hillary who smashed the last pieces of it to dust with her refusal to accept her loss and her sponsorship of the ridiculous Russian collusion canard.

That strategy had been set within twenty-four hours of her concession speech. Mook and Podesta assembled her communications team at the Brooklyn headquarters to engineer the case that the election wasn’t entirely on the up-and-up. For a couple of hours, with Shake Shack containers littering the room, they went over the script they would pitch to the press and the public. Already, Russian hacking was the centerpiece of the argument.

What you may not have realised is that the remainers are going to do everything possible to prevent an election, which one must assume they already know they will lose by a large margin. As of now we are in a classic deadlock where no one can move. All we can hope for is the latest Bill does not pass the House of Lords.
