Arlen Specter has been a Republican senator for 28 freakin' years. All of a sudden, he's a Democrat. Over and over these scumbags prove to us that they have NO backbone, NO moral compass, NO ethics, and NO shame. The only true partisan activity is being a scumbag...both parties are equally active and equally skilled.

Arlen Specter has been a liberal Democrat calling himself a moderate Republican for decades. Of course it really doesn't matter, both the Republicans and Democrats are corrupt and are controlled by the special interests that really run our country. Unfortunately they have convinced the majority of Americans that there really is a difference between the parties. We are no longer governed, we are ruled.

Specter switched parties because over the last month it has become apparent that he would lose the Republican primary race to Pat Toomey in 2010.

Reading polls and speaking with conservatives in the state convinced Specter that his chances of winning the 2010 Republican primary were "bleak," he said. Bemoaning what he sees as the party's purge of moderates, Specter said he didn't want conservatives to decide his fate.

"I am not prepared to have my 29-year record in the United States Senate decided by the Pennsylvania Republican primary electorate," said Specter, 79, of Philadelphia. "But I am prepared to take on all comers in a general election."

Good for Specter, Maybe he will actually "out" himself as a Progressive, which is good IMHO.

Let stop the pissing matches on politics, okay. (Instead of eating the bread and watching the circus, let's spen our time on more productive things, like how to make money).


Fact is, Republican AND Democratic administrations (Including BUSH II AND Clinton) should read up on "owning failure" for their repealing of Glass-Stegal and Failure to regulate derivatives. Not to mention the budgetary baffoonary of the Clinton "Surplus" and the Bush defecit.

BOTH parties, that's right BOTH parties SHARE EQUALLY in this. (I meant "FAILED EQUALLY")

(Clinton gave us NAFTA, HEDONICS, and Repealed Glass-Stegal, and well who really needs to go into the record of the Bush administration).
