Met a friend who went into appliance repair.
He's doing really well. Apparently advertising on the internet is simply not done by his existing competitors.
How well? Let's just say he's near the $300K/year revenue level - something I'd told him before is a demarcation between doing fine and doing great. Joe the Plumber? :0
Also the economy is not affecting his business at all - if anything the opposite as replacement cycles for appliances have increased significantly.
He's now training in servicing the high end (Miele and more specialty) types.
