I want to understand what it means if we return to the gold standard, as EJ has predicted.

What are the mechanics of 'calling in gold'?

What are the implications and options as a current owner of physical gold?

In U.S. history what year(s) did we go to/return to a gold standard, etc.?

How do other countries respond if/when the U.S. returns to a gold standard?
