"It appears that the USA is going to place restrictions on foreign holding by US residents. E.G> Some form of capital controls are going to be introduced as early as end March. (N.B: This will only be for US citizens)"

Came across this on a UK website tonight, anyone hear anything about this or is it nonsence?

A legal restriction is probably not the first thing.

The first thing is probably a raising of taxes on income from said category.

Couple that with tax treaty reporting... :eek:
