    Re: Audi E Gas Project

    A quick search produced:

powered by e-gas: synthetic methane produced via the methanation of hydrogen produced by electrolysis using renewable electricity.1

    and

Since compressed natural gas stations can be few and far between, however, the A3 also makes use of a 13-gallon gasoline tank to help give the machine an effective range of around 745 miles. The 1.4-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine features injectors for both natural gas and gasoline and can seamlessly switch between the two fuels while driving. 2

    conclusion:
Either a step towards oil independence, or an image to sell to consumers with deep pockets to placate their minds about the impact of using loads of energy and polluting the environment without much real world impact? Many argue the latter is what the Toyota Prius is about, and have a name for it: greenwashing
engineer with little (or even no) economic insight

Yes, but Frank you not seen the point (which is understandable).....here in Blighty we had 10 years of Assh0les in BMW's or Audi etc. They go for the 2 litre (2,000 cc) Turbo Diesel, which pumps out anything up to 180 bhp & V8 levles of torque. This makes them "diffcult" to deal with.

They are allowed the engines because its an "Eco" engine.........now if you look at this the BHP is VERY limted as is torque.....much less trouble to deal with. They will NOT want this car, but Taxs & "Greens" will force them into it.

      ;))
