They are both pretty god although the 2nd gets an A for cleverness.
Ravel said he wrote Bolero with the idea it represented a troupe of dancers joing the stage one dancer at a time. However, I always imagined a Middle Eastern potentate and his entourage approaching from the dusty horizon.
