Amidst all the hype about Manhattan under water (Hansen 1988 http://dir.salon.com/books/int/2001/10/23/weather/ ; Gore 2006 http://www.slate.com/id/2142319/ ) 8 story high oceans in Australia ( Tim Flannery http://blogs.news.com.au/heraldsun/andrewbolt/index.php/heraldsun/comments/flannery_admits_no_chance_of_that_flooding_he_clai med_after_all#87795 ) the actual sea level rising metrics have shown a 3.2 mm per year trend.

Yes, that would be 32 centimeters in 100 years = slightly over 1 foot.

Of course the actual data only goes back roughly since 1992.

Recently, however, as the world continues to refuse to warm consistently despite an ever rising CO2 ppm index, this trend has been deviated from:

Does this disprove anything? Probably too early to say, but certainly it was equally too early to say in 1988, in 1996, and especially so in 2006.
