Very interesting, I actually spent some time in Bolivia in the late 1980's and by then the currency was quite stable, I did experience the end of the Argentinian inflation and it was disturbing - only change as much money as you needed for the day (at most) My least expensive hotel stay was $0.25 per night.
While inflation is unlikely to ever be this bad in the USA it is very unwise to ignore the laws of nature - too much debt will eventually cause big problems!
