Does anyone know what happened to the icon that shows up on browser address bar? I used to get the miniature ITULIP icon but lately I don't get anything on any of the computers or browsers I use? Thanks

Someone must have dropped the favorite icon instruction from the html header of iTulip pages.

See for example http://www.davesite.com/webstation/html/favicon.shtml for a description of this instruction. It appears in the <head> section of a web page, and looks like the example:<tt><link rel="SHORTCUT ICON" href="http://yoursitedotcom.here/yourdir/favicon.ico"></tt><tt><link REL="SHORTCUT ICON" HREF="http://yoursitedotcom.here/yourdir/favicon.ico"></tt>

I don't think vBulletin provides a link rel for favicons by default. Could be wrong, but I think the board just takes the favicon file type ico at root, via the standard browser operation, as usual. So, is the favicon file where it's supposed to be?

Thank you guys for posting. Hopefully someone from ITULIP admin will comment. I have had to reinstall some of my browsers and I miss the icon I can put in the quick link bar (not sure this is tech name) and delete the written title.

The favicon is where it is supposed to be for both vBulletin and WordkPress.

Nothing we do will convince either application to use it, however. We had to give up for now.

It seems that the icon file you're currently using is not really a .ico file (?). I've touched up the icon file and it shows up on a few test pages I've loaded in my browser. Give the attached .ZIP file containing the updated icon file a try (you ought to be able to just drop it into the root directory of your web site).

Thank you, Milton. It's back now!

Well that was great, problem solved and all is right with the world. Now can you guys fix the economy? (if anyone will listen and I do know you have the answer for that too).
